Group Coaching

Group coaching provides a cost effective way to enable your management population to gain the benefits of transformational coaching. By working in groups, each individual has dedicated, focused time with the coach, combined with the additional learning from listening to others’ situations and experiences.

Through the process of group coaching, individuals develop a sense of community and shared experience, whilst enabling them to explore their own challenges in a confidential, trusting environment. Unexpected connections are made, which benefit the participants and the organisation as a whole.

Group coaching is also a powerful tool to support formal development programmes. The coaching allows managers to customise, apply and embed management theory and practice in their own specific situations. And by exposing your managers to quality coaching themselves, you build their own capability to support and develop the rest of their team.

Group coaching with us can take place either face to face or online, in London, elsewhere in the UK or overseas.

The Benefits of Group Coaching

  • Cost-Effective development: Organisations can provide coaching to more employees at a lower cost than one-on-one coaching

  • Measurable Business Impact: Group coaching leads to improved employee engagement, retention, and performance metrics

  • Knowledge Transfer: Group settings facilitate the sharing of insights and diverse perspectives across the organisation and increase consistency and standards

  • Enhanced cohesion: Group coaching breaks down silos and builds meaningful connections across departments

  • Improved leadership capability: Participants explore the application of leadership skills through shared experiences and collective learning

What does Group Coaching look like?

A typical Group Coaching package would include:

For the participating managers

  • A series of monthly group coaching sessions – between 4 and 8 is typical, and always based on the identified coaching needs

Each session runs for up to 4 hours, depending upon the number of participants in the group

  • Inclusion in a group coaching cohort of peers – typically totalling between 4 and 6 people – for the duration of the agreed series of sessions

  • Follow up support in the form of materials and reading from your group coach

For the stakeholders

  • A pre-activity meeting to ascertain coaching needs, session numbers, participant numbers and evaluation activity

  • A briefing session, either in person or virtual, for those supporting the group coachees, for example line managers, business leaders and other stakeholders

  • A comprehensive evaluation of the activity upon completion, including collecting testimonials and impact data

  • A full project review process
